The stories behind our projects
The Netherlands as a water country
The Netherlands and water are inextricably linked. Its inhabitants have been dealing with water for more than 1000 years, which is why the Netherlands has become the supreme water management country.
A large part of the land was reclaimed from the sea and has since been protected from it by dikes and barrages. For example, the legendary Delta Works in the province of Zeeland, which consist of a total of 13 structures, form the world's largest storm surge barrier and protect the interior of the country from high water and flooding.
The mills, pumping stations, polders and dikes are world famous and have made the Netherlands what it is today.
Using this centuries-old knowledge, we at Rockflow have developed new techniques, and have already implemented these in hundreds of projects in the Netherlands.
